I'm usually at my dining table on my laptop and my first-grader is on my Mac next to me.  My husband typically takes the desk set up in the basement.  This afternoon I'm on a call and the kids are going to be doing crafts in the living room so I moved to the basement for a bit.  We haven't bought a printer/scanner yet because we haven't had the need, but I'm keeping an eye on prices in case we have to order one.  My firm uses Jabber and Webex for calls and meetings and now a lot of us are using Zoom for team facetime.

    Hope everyone is staying healthy!

Since my kids are using the laptop in our kitchen, my setup is in the dining room.  Those chairs aren't meant for long term sitting so I ordered an office chair and should have a workable space once I set up my two monitors.  We have a printer but thankfully, haven't had to use it much.

We have WebEx for external meetings and Skype for Business for Internal meetings so communication with colleagues has been good.  Will of course welcome the in person interaction whenever that returns!

    Hi Brittney,

Thanks for sharing and starting this discussion!  I was lucky enough to get approval to bring my monitors home for the interim, so I have my double monitors which has been a lifesaver.  Only downside is that it takes up half my table, but I get an office with a view now (aka my apartment window) which is nice!

Only thing I am missing is a printer/scanner, but I am holding out on purchasing one until I think I truly need it. We have DocuSign, so I have been able to get away without having a printer for now, but only time will tell.

Like Janie, we have moved to WebEx meetings.  We use Jabber (which there is an app for smartphones) for internal communications, so the transition has been pretty seamless thankfully.

Hope all are staying safe and healthy!

I am actually lucky that I already had my desk with desk top computer set up in my great room.  The only problem is it sits in a bay window and is either cold....like today..... or when it is sunny my face is almost obscured on our Webex meetings.  I have it pretty easy with just my husband at home to work around:).

The quick transition to a work-from-home arrangement has made all of our day to day environments much different and I'm curious what all of yours looks like! To be honest, ergonomics has probably been the most challenging thing for me, as my set up is basically sitting cross legged on the floor at my coffee table. When my legs fall asleep I transition to the couch ;)

Hope you're all staying comfortable and most importantly, healthy out there!
